Marie Gilland, LCSW
The Road To Your Healing Begins Here.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist for individuals, couples, and families. Prior to joining Restorative Psychotherapy & Wellness, I worked in a range of non-traditional settings which has given me an opportunity to work with individuals of all ages on a variety of issues, an appreciation for the breadth of human experience, and taught me to take a stance of non-judgment.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and strength-based. While I believe every person is the ultimate expert in themselves, I think therapy provides a powerful opportunity for partnership and guidance, in a safe nonjudgmental space to explore new elements of self, identify values and goal-directed actions, and examine the ways current patterns are either supporting or opposing those goals. My goal as a therapist is to help create that safe space with you, to encourage you along your process of exploration, and to provide reflection and guidance where it may be helpful.

“We were losing each other, our family, everything, and we needed someone to help us. We didn’t want to face what we needed to face. But you took the time to get to know us, made us dig deep, and helped us see ourselves and our needs. You were fair, did not take sides, and were the mediator we needed.”
– “You helped me learn how to deal with my feelings and process them. I felt like you genuinely cared and wanted me to succeed. My self-confidence increased and I am in a much better place now…thank you.”
“I learned how to recognize when I was getting anxious. You taught me coping skills so that I can better manage my anxiety and not feel out of control.”
