Welcome

I am a Licensed  Professional Counselor & Registered Art Therapist with over14 plus years of direct clinical experience. My practice focuses primarily on healing anxiety, depression, & trauma throughout life. I work with individuals, children as young as age 5, and couples to help identify past experiences, feelings, emotions, and patterns of behavior in present life and relationships that stand in the way of a deepening sense of identity. As an artist and psychotherapist, I have found creativity to be highly valuable in uncovering different possibilities and an expanded outlook. Working with children and adults has taught me that there is a way to access this change in conversation and/or through creative art expressions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a collaborative approach and believe that a strong therapeutic alliance fostered through trust, understanding, and collaboration is the guiding principle for helping people make the changes most meaningful to them. I bring a perspective shaped by my training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, strength-and attachment-based,trauma-informed, relational, art therapy, and mindfulness techniques combined with focusing on clients' lived experiences to create an open, engaging, and accepting experience for clients.

What you can expect from our work  together

I believe psychotherapy can not only bring relief from acute suffering but also help people understand the more deeply rooted patterns in life that may be outside of awareness that may be responsible for struggling in relationships and feeling unhappy. Together, we will work to reignite the resilience, courage, passion, and confidence that already exists inside you towards a corrective emotional experience from past painful or traumatic experiences and bring a greater sense of emotional freedom, self-esteem, and more meaningful connections with yourself and others. If you think you are ready to embark on this journey, but still feel unsure, email me today to schedule your free phone consultation.
